Overview
This safety switch is normally mounted on the supply duct downstream from the steam distribution nozzle and monitors the humidity level of the supply air. If there is not enough air volume the switch opens turning off the humidifier. This would typically be caused by the blower not running, loose fan belts, or dirty air filters. When the complete system is working perfectly, the steam exiting the steam nozzle would be properly absorbed before that air passes the High Limit Humidistat.
